HOW TO REACH CRES? |
The island of Cres, the biggest island in the Adriatic, is located in the northern part of the Bay of Kvarner. Its southern part, i.e. the town of Osor, is linked to the island of Lošinj by a trestle bridge. Cres is a hilly island, 66 km long and ranging in width from 2 to 12 km. Cres is connected to the mainland with ferry lines: Brestova (mainland) - Porozina (island Cres) and Valbiska (island Krk) - Merag (island Cres). There is a bridge that connect island Krk with mainland. Nearest international airports are Rijeka, Croatia (40 km), Pula, Croatia (90 km), Zagreb, Croatia (190 km), Trieste, Italy (160 km) and Ljubljana, Slovenia (175 km). Lošinj airport with it's 900m of asphalted runway has been adapted for international traffic. Town of Cres

bus lines with Rijeka, while Rijeka is connected by
train with all major Croatian and international destinations. |
