Notice of Race

   
   
1. ORGANIZER
 

24th International Rijeka's RC regatta is organized by the Sailing Club of Rijeka, SCOR in conjunction with Udruga "Vjetar", under the authority of Radio Sailing Division of Croatian Sailing Federation and Croatian Sailing Federation.

   
   
2. RULES
  The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
 

Regatta will be scored for Croatian One Metre ranking list, Croatian One Metre Cup and Northern Adriatic Championship.

   
   
3. ELIGIBILITY
  Regatta is open to all boats with valid measurement certificate verified at their national authorities and members of their national class associations.
   
   
4. ENTRIES AND ENTRY FEE
 

Entries should be sent by on-line entry form or e-mail to scor@scor.hr not later than 17.03.2018. Late entries may be accepted with double entry fee. Entry fee is 100.00 HRK and should be paid in cash at registration.

   
   
5. REGISTRATION
  Boats, together with their valid measurement certificates shall be presented for registration before 11:30 on 17.03.2018. However, the Race Committee may extend the time for registration and event measurement if there is a valid reason to do so. No boat shall be eligible for racing until it has been registered and has passed event measurement.
   
   
6. SCHEDULE
 
Saturday 17th March 11:00 Registration and measurement
    11:30 Skippers meeting
    12:00 First start
    17:00 Dinner for all participants
Sunday 18th March 10:00 First start
    15:00 Estimated time of race finish
    15:30 Prize giving
   
   
7. MEASUREMENT
  It is intended that all boats will pass event measurement on 17.03.2018. Nevertheless, the Race Committee may at any time request the event measurer to confirm that a boat complies with the Class Rules. Random spot checks may be effected throughout the duration of the event. 
   
   
8. VENUE
  Regatta will be sailed in port of Rijeka.
   
   
9. SCORING
  Low point scoring system will apply, except in case of larger number of entries that require fleet to be divided in heats. In such a case Simple Heat Racing System (SHRS) will apply.
   
   
10. APPEALS
  Right to appeal is denied in accordance with RRS 70.5(a).
   
   
11. FREQUENCIES
  Competitors not using 2.4 GHz devices shall have possibility of use at least two frequencies.
   
   
12. PRIZES
  Prizes will be awarded to the best three competitors and to the best junior. Participation gifts will be given to each competitor. Organizer may give additional prizes.
   
   
13. MEDIA RIGHTS
  Competitors give absolute right and permission to the Organising Authority for any photography and video footage taken of persons and boats during the event, to be published and/or broadcast in any media, including but not limited to TV advertisements, whatsoever for either editorial or advertising purposes or to be used in press information.
   
   
14. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
 

All those entering or taking part in this event do so at their own risk and responsibility. Organizer and any other parties involved in the organization of this event disclaim: Any and every responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and goods, both ashore and on the water as a consequence of entering or participating in the event covered by this Notice of Race.

 

At all times the responsibility for the safety of their boat and themselves including the decision to participate or continue shall rest with the competitors. Competitors are advised to ensure that they have adequate personal insurance that provides cover for public liability and their possible injury in the Country of this event.
